The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic affairs announced its designation of 494 areas for Eid al-Adha prayers, in addition to mosques, across the governorates.
Eid prayers will be held at 6:45 a.m. on the tenth day of Dhul Hijjah, corresponding to the first of September.
Head of the Ministry's Media Department, Hossam al-Hazaima, said in a press statement that by setting up these locations, the Ministry is focused on preserving cohesion and social integration amongst the Jordanian population.
The Ministry's objective is to deepen the values of harmony and tolerance, by bringing together worshipers to celebrate the upcoming holidays through their shared spirituality.
